Indian College of Pediatrics
Indian College of Pediatrics (ICP) is an integral part of Indian Academy of Pediatrics. The college serves as the highest academic wing of IAP. The mission of ICP is to aid in capacity building in the specialty of Pediatrics and all its subspecialties, through different academic courses and focused training programs for the members of the Academy and other personnel associated with child health.
To meet the above, ICP will
- Ensure standard and quality in different academic courses offered by IAP and its subspecialty chapters.
- Guide, assist and monitor IAP subspecialty Chapters in formulation of curricula, selection of the candidates, accreditation of the centers for training, selection of guide and examiners, and to conduct entrance and exit examination for various courses.
- Liaise with MCI/ NMC/ NBE/ UGC/ any other national or international institute or academic body including deemed universities/colleges for approval and/ or recognition of courses run by colleges and also to conduct joint academic activities with such bodies
